With Patrick Roberts’ future continuing to be up in the air, it appears that his only clear suitor won’t be making a move for him. The former Celtic man is reportedly available on either a loan or a permanent deal this summer. Manchester Evening News’ Simon Bajkowski told Teeside Live last week: “He’s not expected…
Sorry but his second season with us wasn’t anything to sing about, was he carrying an injury, or was it because we wanted Forrest to get more games? The games I got through to see, he wasn’t flying up n down the wing even with Forrest on the left.
I totally get that point of view mate, but for me we know what he’s all about. During his second loan spell he was unlucky with injury problems whilst James Forrest really upped his game to keep him out of the team. Yet, even then, I still felt Roberts should’ve been in much more often.
We know if we can get that boy up to speed then he can rip up Premiership team’s defences. With Forrest misfiring for me at the moment, I think he would be the perfect signing to try and get more out of Jimmy.
Totally get where you’re coming from though. His second spell here wasn’t successful.
