Ajeti won’t see game time once we have two fit strikers. I said at the close of the window we were short a striker. Ange is concerning me now. Why not Scales? Why let Connell go when we are so short in the middle. Henderson strikes me as the sort of player to buy into Angeball but he’s nowhere to be seen. Some truly awful performances today. Starfelt/Monty/Soro/Ajeti/McCarthy…Ralston at least gives his all. I said it last week…we have no depth in the squad. A long winter looms…

Rarely is anyone on the end of a good cross. Three hit the woodwork and three efforts that should have gone in, over the bar. How many of this team would have even got on the training ground with Henrick etc?

I don’t see how you can’t blame Starfelt for the goal when the player is a couple of yards behind him. No awareness. Turnbull lacks creativity. He plays well when he has creative players around him and can make several plays, but doesn’t have the nouse to come up with these plays himself. Rogic should stop trying to dribble the ball into the goal or passing when he has a better chance of scoring himself. Ajeti hid behind their defenders all day and blew it big time with a shot that was harder to miss than score.
In answer to the previous comment about how many of these players would’ve got into O’Neils team along with Larson, Petrov, Hartson, Sutton, etc…NONE. Not even good enough to polish their boots.
Needs to rethink players position and think outside the box a little when you’re short in choice. Didn’t understand playing Juranovic at RB, when you have Scales & Montgomery fit & able. Montgomery is an actual Left winger, so put Jota in the middle, push Montgomery up the left wing and bring on Scales for Left back. Even give Moffat a chance, as anyone is surely better than Ajeti.
It’s not about Ajeti stepping up and taking his chance. The guy quite simply doesn’t have the talent, so he can’t step up to something that he doesn’t have.
Tough times, but fully confident it will get better. Need to ride the storm and then go on one almighty winning run when we have a full squad to choose from.

I think your comments on McCarthy are way over the top. To say " He could barely find a Celtic player when on the ball", that he was “struggling with the basics”, and “was often dispossessed” is just not true! I suggest you watch the game again, or check his stats. I watched him closely today and I thought he was ok, continuing from where he left off on Thursday night. However he was the victim of 2 bad fouls which clearly affected him, and Ange has confirmed that was why he was subbed at half time. I don’t deny that we need more from him, and he’s not sharp enough yet, but there’s no need for such an attack on him.

For sure, Red card all day long for first tackle, studs up and straight leg. Clancy shows his bias 5 fouls committed over 90 mins for D Utd.HH

i don’t believe Ange selected or recruited McCarthy or Starfelt as his choices pf player to suit his style of play and Anjeti and Sorro would Certainly not be used if we didn’t have the injuries.
i have been slaughtering the recruitment for 4 seasons now but today also highlighted how poor or lack of young talent we have and how they are being coached Yes Montgomery is still young but who is coaching him to turn back and play the ball back at the wrong times or why do we not have a goal scoring youngster who has been taught to ;Lead the line as there are plenty Scottish kids 6 feet and strong but we never seem to develop any instead we select light weight who can never reach the highest level or are constantly injured,
