Motherwell boss Graham Alexander was fuming with today’s referees after Celtic beat his side 2-0 in the Scottish Premiership. Both Willie Collum and Chris Fordyce both spent time with the whistle today after Collum picked up a muscle injury. There was a controversial moment in the second half when Boli Bolingoli looked to have handled…
Absolutely spot on. As much as I think it was a penalty, because at the other end I would be screaming for it, the tackles that our players had to endure were simply awful, and we all wonder why we keep getting injuries so often, scandalous refereeing.
He’s right about the officiating.
We had 73% possession today,Motherwell 27% and we managed to foul Motherwell 12 times to their 14.
Those are not unusual statistics either as it is a regular occurring theme when we dominate teams in Scotland.
The curious flip side to that is it generally works the other way in Europe when we play teams.
Which in itself points to an issue with how Officials tend to treat us at home.
Makes you wonder why Collum went off!!!
Yes fast becoming the dirtiest team in Scotland by miles this season according to our neutral match officials thank god though Wee William Colum got hurt as he would have pointed to the spot in a flash on Saturday. He must have been gutted watching Boli handle in the box.
