Is there a clue in Bankiers phrase “Michael is an absolute team player” I wonder Euan ? Perhaps the welcome changes introduced were perhaps too progressive for the rest of the Board and DD in particular ?

Notice they slipped this in AFTER Ange’s press conference.Ange himself said he was looking forward to working with McKay after the transfer window closed to implement changes. What happens with that now? Hopefully Ange will turn up tomorrow.

Going to be a season of disaster created by this plc board. Mr mckay pushed too hard for them. We are a football club, not a cash cow for investors

Do this board realised that they’re only custodians of the club. They will never own it really.
In regards to Ange, well, he won’t tolerate having his hands tied. He’s a straight shooter. If that happens he’ll walk. Then we can surely suspect something sinister will be at play and back to square one. “Eddie Howe! Where are you?”

What the Ange that came here with none of his own staff and kept Kennedy and Strachan on straight shooter …:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I think that’s a harsh assessment of Ange. He prioritised the team, club over himself, something our Board seem increasingly incapable of. He made it clear from day 1 his priority was getting the right players in and fast. He also made it clear that getting personnel in of every type was very difficult due to geography and the impact of the pandemic. I’ve NO doubt , well before yesterday’s event, that we will see his own backroom team arrive I due course. Lest we forget this guy inherited the omnishambles of the Board’s incompetent indulgent pursuit of Eddie Howe. I for one don’t. HH

I do t think they see it that way and given it is them running the show and not Supporters they will tend to be right whether you like it or not.
The only way that can change is if Supporters take control of Celtic.
It has long been my argument that unless there are serious changes in the way Celtic is controlled then there is little chance of anything ever changing in that regard.
It has been proven to work in Germany and now Hearts have taken the lead in Scotland with fan ownership.
It is the only logical way out of the current setup that will keep fans both happy and 100% involved in the direction we are headed.
Otherwise all you will see is the faces change but not the direction.
