OMG that's a relief

I’m an absolute nervous wreck after watching that, LOL
But it doesn’t matter how we win, as long as we win.

I suppose it was all about getting the three points today but that was another lethargic performance in my opinion! I hope there is a massive improvement on Sunday otherwise I can see us losing again although it pains me to say it!

I’ll take your word for that, I haven’t worked out the mathematics of it yet, but hopefully we’ll get over the line with much improved performances.
Update.
Have just had a look at the table and my calculation is we need 6 points from a possible 12 to win the league, that would put us on 91 points.

Yes, you’re right we were a bit lethargic today, if we were on it the score would/should have been 4 or 5 nil. :green_heart:

As it stands we need 91 points which is the max the Huns can get, to win the title on goal difference.

No worries, I had to work it out as well, lol
You’re right, mathematically they can only get to 91 if they win their last 4 game, and we can get to 97 if we win all ours.
:four_leaf_clover:

I haven’t seen the game yet but you said it was lethargic, we have a week before the Hun game to recover and they have a game on Thursday, I am confident of 6 points out of 4 games. Win this Sunday and 7th May could be a very good day.

Yes, we were lethargic, It should have been 5 or 6 nil the amount of chances we had.
I am confident that we will win the league now, even if things don’t go our way against Rangers, we will still win the league.
But hopefully we’ll beat them as we are on home soil, with 60 thousand fanatical screaming fans behind the team.
And if we beat them, one more match will see us over the line.
Let’s face it, all the pressure is on Rangers now, they have to beat us to have a glimmer of hope of winning the league, even then it still looks very unlikely.

Just saw the game on the box and can’t agree with your assessment of a lethargic performance, and yes it could have been 5 or 6 but have to settle for 2. Three points in the bag, that will do me, thank you very much.

Just to clarify, when I said lethargic, what I meant was lethargic in front of goal.
That’s why I said it could have been 5 or 6 nil.
But apart from in front of goal, we were comfortable and controlled the game.

Let’s not fall out over this but maybe you need to improve your choice of words like I need to improve my maths. Lol

LOL, you’re right, badly worded, looking through green tinted glasses skews your vision.
There’s no chance we’ll fall out, just light-hearted banter.

Im sure we were the last team to win there in the 97th minute in December
we were far from lethargic and could easily have been 3 or 4 up by half time.
This is a small pitch and they are a big physical side so we had no room for being switched off defensively which i thought in general we did well.
we actually don’t need to win another game to be champions as 4 draws would win us the title on goal difference unless Rangers win 3 games by 6 or more.
Yes it was nervous at times but we were always in control of the match and This title win will rank among the best in many years.

I’d rather it didn’t come down to 4 draws, anyway that’s not going to happen, I think we’ll win the League fairly comfortably.
As far as the match goes, I did say that we controlled the game and were comfortable throughout.
In front of goal, we were slightly wasteful or to put it another way, we were not very prolific.

In the spirit of only thinking about one game at a time, if we win next week we are 9 points ahead with 9 still available. Also if we win we’ll have at least +21 goal difference advantage. Win next week and we’ve won the league three games early.

I thought we performed very well today, as mentioned ‘lethargic’ was maybe not the right word. If anything Kyogo might be a bit rusty, but considering he should’ve had two goals with one being called offside incorrectly, that’s not too shabby for being rusty. :green_heart::green_heart::green_heart:

Lethargic! My arse, that infers we looked tired and we certainly weren’t that we should’ve been 5 up at half-time. If you’d said wasteful in front of goal I might’ve agreed but never in a month of Sunday’s were we lethargic. Ross County had a wee spell but they never looked like scoring, the only save Joe had to make the guy was offside so never ever did we look in any danger. The second goal was all we needed to settle any nerves, it would’ve been better to get it earlier but some games just pan out like that. I think it’s a disgrace that Giakoumakis was dropped for the game, I’d have played him and I’d play him on Sunday ahead of Kyogo too. Yes the wee man’s class but he’s nowhere near match fit and if I was GG I’d be knocking on Ange’s door asking why a half fit striker is playing ahead of me if I was him, he’s carried the goalscoring while Kyogo was out and he gets dropped, not a great way to treat a player who’s been immense since January.

This is one of my earlier posts when someone else queried what I meant by lethargic.

As you can see, I meant in front of goal. :grinning:

Remember GG is coming back from a bit of a knock himself, he missed the semi final because of it. I think which ever of those two are fittest through training this week will start on Sunday. Personally I think if they’re both fit it makes sense to start GG and let him rough them up then being on Kyogo second half and watch him destroy them. :green_heart::green_heart::green_heart:

OK, sounds like a good plan.
