Today couldn’t have gone any worse for Celtic after losing to Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden. Indeed, the Hoops came up short in a hugely disappointing performance that ended in a 2-1 defeat. The result means that the treble hopes harboured by Celtic are now over as we look ahead to trying…
Disappointing result, but that is football, you can’t win them all.
The Bhoys need to put that behind them and secure the league title and I am sure they will.
Very worrying.
Two more wins and the league is ours. That’s all. Come on Celtic.
Maybe this game was a bit of a reality check for the team, the manager and the fans. Rangers had done their homework on us since the defeat at Ibrox and this time, they made sure our midfield was overrun so that our forwards got very little service. I think we really missed GG up front as a focal point to hold the ball up in the final third. Clearly, Kyogo is not match fit and needs game time. Perhaps when we went 1-0 up Ange should have made some tactical changes at that point to shut Rangers out as bizarrely, we looked more tired than the team that played on Thursday! Hopefully, we can get over this defeat quickly and put the league to bed as this is the biggest prize of them all!
We never stop … today we never started… wrong attitude wrong decision making poor performers and poor substitutions.
TOGETHER we have been brilliant this season and if asked if we could win a treble in August we would have thought winning 3 games in a row was a treble.
Today the team were out fought the fans out sang and manager out thought.
Yes the winning goal was offside Yes the man of the match should have been sent off and Yes brother bobby had a shocker,
Hype wins teams nothing and I’m sure Ange knows this, we were powder puff upfront today stretched all over the midfield an area GVB used his subs much better today
Turnbull and Bitton should have came on at 1-0 and rangers were also happy to see Rogic go off so early.
Jota and Abada were poor today and Kygo did lack match practice.
This result hopefully shows the squad needs strengthened and our board must support the manager to continue the great work he has done.
Might be a blessing in disguise if we are to progress and compete in a champions league group next season.
This game shows we need left back cover and left sided centre back and physical striker option.
Winning the league will be a tremendous achievement in a season of rebuilding.COYBIG
