Celtic loanee Vakoun Bayo was at it again yesterday as he continued his upturn in form for Toulouse. The Ivorian, who went on a run of 11 outings without a goal, now has five strikes to his name since the turn of the year. Bayo has been making his mark with the Ligue 2 club…
Regardless of who it is, it’s starting to feel like Celtic might be getting a little hamstrung by some of the terms negotiated into loan deals they’ve sent players out on. It shows a real lack of foresight into player development or “asset management” to send players out on loan without terms to fully benefit the parent club. I already think the Ntcham deal is a poor one (but that’s it’s own situation) and if players like Bayo and Hendry look like they’ve developed into more valuable players who could potentially contribute to the first team squad or fetch a higher value for Celtic to put towards the inevitable rebuild, undervaluing them when sending them out on loan and inserting clauses to dump them on someone else for cheap looks quite bad.
Really looking forward to having a DoF to sort out situations like these.
