Too many players in the squad who are just not good enough to wear the Celtic jersey. Never mind the complete duds such as Barkas, Ayeti & McCarthy, brought in by someone who should be sacked, others are nowhere near good enough.
For all Johnstons possession & dribbling skills he never once produces any end result & that is the main feature of his game which in the end makes him useless. He’s been given enough chances to prove himself (when not injured) & has failed miserably.
Abada started his career, with us, looking good but has turned into a headless chicken with no composure whatsoever - makes one wonder just what sort of ‘coaching’ is being done, particularly when we see crosses being continuously overhit & chances in front of goal being hashed up.
It may be early days but I don’t see what the likes of Shaw & Scales bring to us & we don’t appear to have any young players bursting through from the Academy - young Moffat was way out of his depth last night. Looking at the choices on the bench was pretty depressing - too many average players to make any real difference though I do think it was a big mistake not having Juranovic & Taylor on from the start.
