Former Celtic captain Paul Lambert has responded to Chris Sutton’s tweet after his criticism of the club last week. Lambert was critical after watching Celtic lose 4-0 to Bayer Leverkusen last Thursday. The former UCL winner talked up the importance of winning at Celtic and that nearly results simply aren’t good enough [BT Sport]. This…

The idea that we should be winning games that we should be winning is indeed prevelant, Unfortunately given the state of the squad at the end of last season ,those who have departed, the number of injuries we sustained, and , the rush job to sign players there aren’t many teams we should be winning against. Easy to forget where we were tbh.

Exactly. It’s as if those couple of big wins over diddy teams made everyone think all was once more rosy in the garden…but it wasn’t, and isn’t. If we challenge for the title to the wire and maybe win a cup it can be looked upon as progress. People who get hooked into the smsm nonsense about Ange not being good enough are as gullible as the huns. Mourinho or Klopp or anyone else couldn’t have turned things around any quicker (and certainly not with the budget Ange has to work with). Some folk need to calm the f- down and have patience…

Couldn’t agree more. To state that we shouldn’t be getting beat by Hearts / Livi or drawing with Dun Utd remonstrates with a saying other self righteousness lot about being the peepel. Of course we want to win more than we lose…and we will, but you can’t admit 2 months ago that it’s going to take a long time and at least a couple of windows to get things right only to then call for the managers head on a stick several weeks later with a depleted squad. We may have brought 12 players in, but we also let 15 players go. Time & patience is required from the Celtic family and not get caught up in the SMSM propaganda machine that Goerbels would be proud of.

Once we have our full team fixed and fit, there’s not a team in the country that will stop us.
