More protest banners have been unveiled at Celtic Park in protest to the potential appointment of Bernard Higgins in a senior security and safety role at the club. Rumours have been rife in recent weeks that Celtic have been on the verge of appointing Higgins. It has sparked widespread fan protest, with media outlets, organisations…

The GB & NC are a disgrace tonight. Protest by all means, but bringing it into the stadium is only detrimental to the team. Support the team or stay at home. Come election night you’ll all be falling over yourselves to vote for Stalin Sturgeon and her party that introduced this law and gave bigots like Higgins the authority & powers to behave the way they did. They do a good tifo, but all the noise they make about anything & everything off the field is embarrassing and tiresome. Your season ticket only permits you entry to the ground and not to a deciding vote on all other matters. Delighted that there’s plenty of others in the ground that aren’t listening to you and have and will continue to make some noise in supporting the team.

Maybe they should shut up every game if that’s the performance the team gives without them.

childish by the supposed self acclaimed best fans in the world.
hypocritical yet again .

Without the Green Brigade and North Curve -Lennon and Lawwell would probably still be at Celtic Park

There’s part of the problem right there. Some people thinking that Celtic only have the GB/NC as a voice. It may surprise them to know that there’s another 55,000 supporters inside the stadium and millions worldwide who have a voice and made their opinions known. By definition alone, there’s no such thing as a wrong opinion, but has it ever occurred to the selfish self appointed righteous crew that others might be happy with how the club is getting run, or don’t care so much and just want to see good football instead of witnessing protest after protest. Like I said before, they do a good TiVo, but mostly embarrassment from there on in what with protests or belching out rebel tunes. Support the team or stay at home. Let the rest of us enjoy the game and supporting our team, as they’ll notice if they opened their eyes and looked out with their little group, that Celtic Football Club is far, far, far bigger than the 5000 or so who bring attention to our club for all the wrong reasons.

If the GB/NC want to make a stand give up your tickets for the final and the old firm game and let other Celtic fans who stood on the Jungle for years before they were born go cheer the team instead of wanting to be seen by a board who could not care. The board has been a joke for years and while i agree Higgins should not be employed these pick your game protests mean nothing.

So what do the Board actually do ? Who do they answer to ? Why do they not communicate to the estimated 9 million + Celtic Supporters
Go to the GB / NC put your points. They will gladly have a discussion.
Go to the board , do the exact same thing . Do you think you will even get an answer ?
Possibly, probably not

If the GB/NC had their way, they would be sitting with the board on a weekly basis to approve or disapprove every decision. It’s absolute madness to think that they have that power and entitlement. There’s not another business in the world let alone a football club that would even give this a second thought. They bought a ticket to watch a game of football, not to have a day on how the club is run. Unless they have the money to buy out Desmond, then they have absolutely no right to poison the game for others enjoyment and inflict negativity on the team they claim to support.

Protest by all means, but keep in out of the ground in a way that it’s detrimental to the teams performance and the other supporters enjoyment of watching their team. For some people this is the only time they get out of the house and most likely have / are working their guts out to afford to go to the games and follow the club they’ve followed all their lives.

As Ange said midweek…who are these people??? What gives them the entitlement???

Spot on mate. Not only was the jungle rocking, but the whole stadium would have the place shaking. We have a crowd of 5000 who think they are Celtic and the rest of us are just to sit there like sheep and do what they tell us & when to behave.

Maybe they think that they are “the peepel”:joy:

They do a good tifo & can join in the singing and supporting of the team. But the protests and rebels songs have to stop, as they’re detrimental to the teams performance, club & fans reputations, and being put up in front of the SPFL & UEFA disciplinary panels.

Stop with the embarrassment and get behind the team, otherwise they need to stay at home or find another hobby to infect their poison.

There’s 17,000+ on the waiting list, who would be more than happy to take their season tickets of their hands.

Ah the jungle . Wet hot legs out of a refilled tennents can , crushed bodies and it was stinking .
We have moved on . Well supposedly! Remember the Kelly’s etc who bled the club dry but gave , in the long run , very little .

It is a different world . But unless something else has changed many many of us who have strong Irish and Scottish roots will never forget our history.

You never know if Nichola and SNP will become classed, as Rebels , in the future and become illegal OR our young people will fight to have an opinion

So are you going to the cup final and old firm game or boycotting them ? or are they too important for your image and videos.

i think we who stood on the jungle and the streets of ferry derry will never forget or roots or our history and it does not need the green brigade at Celtic park to remind us and if you think Nicola gives a toss for socialism or justice with her party of huns then your living in cuckoo land. Stein Next Pope S.N.P

Nicola Stalin Sturgeon and her group are nothing more than Tory Huns. Did she give a monkeys when she let the racist parade through the streets of Glasgow destroying the place, terrifying locals, all while they sang racist songs and marched with the polis causing mayhem. No, she did nothing and barely mentioned it in parliament, which is as good as condoning their actions. And let’s also not forget that it was Sturgeon and her anti-football cronies that thought of and implemented the law so that hun crooks like Higgins had the power & authority to kick in doors and arrest people on the street for simply wearing Celtic colours.

You’re right in saying we’ve come along way since the nineties, but with the rebel songs the GB/NC belt out, you would think we were still in the 70’s.

The Celtic supporters came out fighting against the Kelly’s, Whites and Co, when the time and place was right, but it wasn’t a weekly occurrence and never surmounted to a selfish, childish protest or throwing tennis balls on the park.
