Predicted Celtic XI vs St Mirren; Lennon to try and inject excitement again

The season certainly feels like it’s become a grind as we give our predicted Celtic XI vs St Mirren. Wednesday night’s 2-0 win against Hamilton kept us to within 23 points of Rangers at the top of the Premiership. Oh but we’ve three games in-hand mind. None of it really matters in terms of the…

I’m guessing that Lennon will inexplicably put his faith in his once and future number 1: Barkas.

If Lennon wants to try and inject excitement back among the Celtic support again, if Lennon wants to have the fanbase reinvigorate and looking to the future with optimism, he should follow in the footsteps of his master and announce that he’ll be leaving at the end of the season or just resign, with immediate effect, either way, the excitement levels, the enthusiasm, the overwhelming joy of knowing he’s gone will lead to the biggest sigh of relief felt by most of the Celtic fan base that don’t view life through ‘Green and White’ tainted glasses.

Lennon is not a Legend, that’s a trumped-up myth put out there by a section of the ‘Faithfully Blind ’ and brainwashed brigade, that can’t see the woods for the trees when it comes to Celtic, that can’t see beyond their ‘Green and White Hooped Top’ as the crest burns too bright for them. Lennon isn’t bigger than Celtic and its 133-year history, Lennon isn’t bigger than Billy McNeill and Lisbon Lions, Lennon isn’t bigger than Billy McNeill and his famous 1988 century team and what they achieved, when all odds where really stacked against them, when the league (back then) was far harder to win and Rangers where swimming with cash rich internationalists. So, let’s put an end to this insane madness of elevating Lennon to this godlike status that he doesn’t deserve, domestically he had an easy run, compared to past managers, the 10IAR should have been a cakewalk but he blew it and he knows he did.

“The Players Can’t Live Off Past Glories”, Lennon stated at the beginning of the season, well the same applies to him, but in true narcissistic form, at every given opportunity, Lennon’s outright hypocrisy of trying to hide behind the ‘Quadruple Treble’ (an achievement of which most is to be owned to Brendan Rodgers and a young goal Keeper that saved Lennon’s neck but whom Lennon is happy enough to humiliate and through under the bus at every given opportunity to cover his own arse) won’t wash with most fans that will view him as the manager that blew the 10 because of his deludedly inflated ego and the pay-off that he so badly wants.

His pride and his legacy went up in flames over a £300,000 paycheque, that’s how much he cared about Celtic and helping the fans realise their aspirations of the 10IAR and all the bragging rights that would have come with it, he crapped it all down the toilet over a pay-cheque and then set about blaming everyone and anyone that he could, again to deflect away from and cover his own arse. We as a fan base own Lennon NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, we as a fan base have made him a multi-millionaire, severely times over (he’ll never have to worry about paying bills ever again), compared to rest of us, god spares us post-pandemic. Lennon has shown the Celtic support (on more than one occasion) this season that he now views us with the utmost distain and contempt as he continually (in true narcissistic form) insults our intelligence by continually gaslighting and goating the support base in press conferences with the most bizarre statements and outright embarrassing lies because we dared to question his obvious inabilities, incompetence, complacency and outright deluded arrogance as a manger, so save me this “We Own Lennon Respect” Bullshit, NO WE DON’T.

Agree that the term “legend” is OTT. NL was an under rated player and great captain. As a manager very limited. Top to bottom we blew the ten. In the circumstances it’s unforgivable. The trail of errors is very alarming. It should’ve been 15 not 10…Rangers were there for the taking and we blew it. Any decent Celtic team would have taken them.

There’s not much to get the blood pumping for this one.

Welsh should be starting EVERY game for us and let’s try and keep that bomb-scare Duffy on the bench where he belongs. Actually, come to think of it he has done nothing to even warrant a seat on the bench. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Hazard in goals (because Doohan is out on loan ) with Ajer Bitton and Laxalt joining Welsh in defence

Turnbull and Soro should continue in beside McGregor and, at this point in the season, I’d be throwing in Henderson or Connell for some much needed game time.

Obviously I’d have Griff up front.

However, Edouard is probably leaving in the summer and with our season containing only slightly more life in it than a 25 team accumulator, I’d play Ajeti or Klimala beside him.

I’ll still cheer if we score but I’ll be crying inside for what should’ve been.

I agree with you! My team selecti is based on what I THINK Lennon will play. Not who I want him to play.

I’m angry that Lennon does not utilize the available substitutions to give the youth players a run.
