To get any money for Ryan given his contract situation must be viewed as a result for Celtic.
Whilst he is undoubtedly a talented footballer who is super fit and full of energy he does have a tendency to run around like a headless chicken at times careering about the Park without much end product in big games.
I think this is why he will end up in the Championship and not in the Premiership where he sees himself as a player.( it has been reported Burnley were interested )
There is no guarantee he will make it out of that League as a player as it is a very difficult League for teams to get back out of.
At a £1m you could argue it’s probably better to keep him and run his contract down in the hope he has a change of heart but I’ve thought for a while his head has been elsewhere as a player (like others) and we haven’t seen the best of him in a while bar the odd glimpse.
If him going opens a place up for the likes of Henderson from the youth setup then I’m ok with that as these youngsters need a route into the first team selection amd something tangible to aim for.

Update Now hearing it’s £3m not £1m from Bournemouth
