Brendan leaves Leicester in the middle of October one wet night stating “:I’ve always had a soft spot for Newcastle after once drinking a bottle of Newky Broon at a school disco…not only that Peter Beardsley was my hero as a player and I had the same haircut as a wee boy”.

I do think BR could do a job at Newcastle and win the league with them, but the time is not now. Newcastle challenging is probably more than 6 years away, so it’ll need a couple of managers in there before him to start the building process and maybe then someone like Brendan could come in and take them to the top. Whatever they do, I hope they don’t take Slippy. It’s a good city with good fans and they deserve better than that. Maybe Lenny & a Broony ale…sorry about that🙈
After his underwhelming start to the season I was hoping to see Brenda finish mid table.
Newcastle might save him from that ???
No doubt a great coach but a very flawed person. The catalyst for all that went wrong in our search for the 10.
