Japan manager Hajime Moriyasu, who has been criticised for misusing Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi, could be on the verge of losing his job according to the Japan Times. Moriyasu has overseen a disastrous World Cup qualifying campaign so far that’s seen them lose to both Oman and Saudi Arabia. Results that have severely dented their…

Could it be because Kobe had a Brazilian CFW and yer man Furuhashi was deployed either on the wing or as a Support striker/Inside FW playing off of him yet still managed to score plenty goals from the wide area (Like Forrest has done so effectively at Celtic for years )?
Furuhashi did not arrive at Celtic a fully developed recognised Striker he arrived an attacker with two good feet who could play on either wing and up top in a pairing, we through lack of planning and fitness issues (see selling Klimala Griffiths Giakoumakis and Ajeti) were more or less forced into deploying him as a lead the line 9 which worked out well on and off as a result.
He squandered 4 clear chances v Leverkusen that most genuine quality 9’s would have buried.
Perhaps the Japanese Manager is simply going off what he knows about the player (which I’m going to hazard a guess is a great deal more than pundits and bloggers in Scotland ) and those who have come late to the Furuhashi party and like to comment on such things are simply chucking their teddy oot the pram because he’s not leading the line for his Country and getting the full Larsson treatment as he is now getting back here?

Just an observation.

Another observation -16 Strikers and Furuhashi has been designated as a Midfielder
