If he has recommended him then hopefully that will mean harkin will join and the City . partnership will be a good thing

I’m keen on Harkin coming on board, I couldn’t understand why Howe wasn’t in place sooner and felt that if it came to a choice between him picking his own sporting director and Harkin being an indepedent boss, the second option made more sense. McKay and Harkin haven’t thankfully been tarred by Howe making us look like idiots, Desmond must be spitting feathers, he’s been made to look like an imbecile. I wonder if it was McKay who finally called Howe’s bluff, after probably watching from the SRU impatiently when this was kicked off in Feb/Mar. Postecoglou is well thought of in Oz and Japan. He seems no nonsense. Not a household name but so what. If he comes in and him and Harkin get some good new signings and he can sort out the underachievers and sell who needs sold, that’s fine. We need a brand of fast, attacking football, which is what this guy plays. The only way I’d take Keane as the other option is if Duff came in to do the actual coaching and Keane just did the pre match ranting/motivation. But I’d prefer Postecoglou. And if Duff wanted to come back as coach, great

I believe that Harkin has an excellent insight to the game, so if he recommends Postecoglou, then he has my support. If Postecoglou does get the job, he will need bench support that know the Scottish and European game, Damien Duff would fit in there very well.

Would take Duff all day but I think we are going to be stuck with JK and GS as well.

Hopefully harkin will come with him and he can get good players
