Celtic are mulling over Kjetil Knutsen and his suitability to become Ange Postecoglou’s replacement at the club, after the Australian confirmed his move to Tottenham Hotspur. STV report that Knutsen is “under consideration” by the Celtic board, as more and more names are linked with the soon-to-be-vacant post. The 54-year-old has been in charge of…
He’s the one for me!
Same style of play but can deliver in Europe too as he showed Ange twice last year! The fact that he is wanted by the likes of Ajax says it all for me but can Celtic afford him and will he want to come? I really hope we can and he does….
We’ve seen what this guy can get from his players who may not even be on the same pay scale as some of ours.
If Knutsen is the choice, I hope he maintains our attacking style and builds a good bit of belief for the Champions League. That’s what our fans wanted to see from Ange next season but greed got the better of him
I’m with you 100 per cent on that Jeemo! It’s so important to have continuity of style and Knutsen provides that plus I understand he has stayed with Bodo Glimt for quite a few years, so if he comes to Celtic it might provide more long term stability. He has been achieving great things with a much smaller budget than Ange which also ticks a very big box for me.
The guy clearly knew Ange big weakness in how to defend wide areas with his supposed success with Taylor and JJ who were destroyed in both legs and our lack of power ful mid fielders as his team our fought and out played us in both games cutting right through us.
this guy would continue the attacking style but i believe he would add strength and power we still lack.
Ange did well to bring us the Jap players who have been great but that would dry up and we have Asian games next season in the middle of our season coming up so we need a boys who can continue to find players in our pay scale like Scandinavians.
