Liverpool could sell Celtic January target Ben Davies this summer, according to ESPN. The report claims that the Merseysiders have a surplus of centre-backs after securing the £36m signing of Ibrahima Konate from Leipzig. They therefore believe that the Anfield club will listen to offers for the likes of Davies, Joel Matip, and Nat Phillips…

Was clearly happy to get double the wages for riding the pine, maybe a season on the bench has him itching for game time now

Now he’s contracted to big wages, surely we could afford to pay a decent % of them and get the guy on a season long loan with a view to buy?

We need to stock up on our centre backs at the minute and I don’t think this would be a bad move for either side :four_leaf_clover:

I’m only a fan of loans of we have an option to purchase. I think that would be nice for Celtic and Davies. We can’t pay the wages Liverpool do but we can offer… gametime! He’d be a nailed on starter with Ajer leaving. Probably get 40 games in.

Unsure how good he actually is and Liverpool like to help Slippy.

Perhaps he might miss paradise again?
