Honest mistake anyone!?

Amazing how much a juicy ebt can speed up a process like this.

The players that stayed did so because of the ebts.
But don’t overlook this appointment or discount it. It’s something we did not do! We incorrectly chased Lennon out and replaced him with a guy who had never actually seen inside our empty stadium! He has no knowledge even yet what it means to be Celtic!

Huh? Are we only meant to sign ex players or fans as our manager? Are you serious?

That’s a ridiculous statement, we didn’t chase Lennon out his FAILURE to step up when it matters most and demand from his friend lawwell the tools he needed to nail the ten did. Ange like Wim Jansen,Dr Jo, And Deila came to our club with no Celtic background and had various levels of success, this he must be a Celtic man to he our manager attitude is as out of touch as Lennon was toward the end, it was so called Celtic men who sold the ten and Celtic men who almost drove the club.into the ground in the 90s. In Ange we trust

Yes Lennon is a Celtic legend, yes he was a success for most of his two tines as manager BUT and it’s a massive but he failed us. The club moved on and made a bold appointment who has hit the ground running with signings Lennon would never have seen, to say Ange won’t succeed because he doesn’t bleed green and white is obscene, we have had massive amounts of players come in with no connection to Celtic that left as legends, Jesus Kenny dalglish grew up overlooking ibrox he didn’t spend his youth in the jungle, Larsson, Sutton,Hartson, Paul Elliott, PVH, Thom, wieghorst, Hooper, Rogic, Kyogo and Jota, the list is endless, we would paint ourselves into an immovable corner if we remained parocial in our recriitment

I love Lenny, I loved him as a player & as a gaffer, his smashmouth confronting style worked for us on & off the park, I would never question his loyalty to the club. That makes his apparent inability & refusal to take any responsibility for his & the teams rapid decline under him in the most important season in living memory even harder to swallow. In any walk of life or any job you are far more likely to earn the respect of those around you for putting your hand up when you’re at fault & saying “I’ve stuffed this up”, people who deflect & finger point tend to earn the ire of their counterparts & contemporaries.

Despite being disappointed by how he’s conducting himself now & during his last season with us, I’ll never forget the trophies he raised & the sh1t he put himself through for our club, the harassment, the death threats, physical & verbal abuse, I’ll never stop loving him for that.

I think Van Bronckhurst is a significant upgrade on Gerrard. It’s a smart appointment IMHO. For me the key questions will be about finances for his backroom staff & new/replacement players at ibrokes. It’ll be interesting, though I still think we have the momentum in our favour, though for how long I’m not sure.

I have the suspicion you’re correct, I think GvB is better, it does reek of them gambling on winning league. GvB won’t have been the cheapest option & I doubt he would’ve come unless he was promised something of a war chest.
I feel we have the momentum too & I think it’s up to them to disrupt that, let’s hope Ange & Co don’t make it easy for them. From what I’ve read GvB plays a more swashbuckling style of football than Gerrard so there may be bedding in issues there, system changes at Ibroke favor us in the short term at least.

Without cash he wont be able to recruit players with skill and technique of Dutch youngsters.
i think the previous background staff had a winning way against last seasons Celtic but i think we are a different side this season and with additions in defence and if we win our set plays in the box in the rest of the old firm games we can win the league no matter who manages them.

Dalglish and Danny McGrain As for Ange this guy shall do very well at Celtic FC and sounds very gd in n interviews with straight honest sensible answers back at the media. This guy Ange given time shall possibly end up Celtics best ever manager since Jock Stein and Ange has come from far away country and has had to bring in players from all walks of life . I think he shall succeed . But then shall he stay for the longer hail as manager as Eng top clubs may come calling as well as some club/s within Europe if Celtic are doing well . Celtic now should try get Ange in a long contract or else may regret it. In Ange I trust . Hhail
