Celtic supporters will have to pay out more hard-earned cash to watch Neil Lennon’s team attempt to reach the Scottish Cup final after today’s announcement from the Scottish FA. It looks increasingly unlikely there will be a substantial crowd in attendance at Hampden for the match between the Bhoys and Aberdeen on Sunday, November 1st.…
I think this item is missing one or two relevant facts. Fans are complaining about paying £11,99 for a one month contract to watch Celtic in a Scottish Cup Semi Final. Yet no one seems to complain about watching Celtic v Rangers on Sky when a basic Sky Sports package is at least £60 a month on a 12 month contract. £720 a year! For me there is very little else on Sky apart from a few Celtic away games. You could say the 4 Old Firm games cost £180 each! Sky are happy to pay large sums of money for football and then increase their prices without fail every year. Then along comes Premier Sports to pick up the scraps but still managing to outbid BBC Scotland for first pick of Scottish Cup games. You get nothing for nothing. I for one are happy to fork out to Premier Sports on a month to month basis for Scottish Cup, League Cup and European qualifiers.
