It is almost a year to the day since Brendan Rodgers left Celtic to join Leicester City. The circumstances of Rodgers’ exit from the club still rankle for many of the Hoops support. It was not really a surprise that Rodgers moved on from Celtic. In fact, it was almost inevitable that at one stage…

No way would i welcome Rodgers back he tarnished his reputation with Celtic and the fans by walking out on us last February to join Leicester City if he’d waited til the end of the season that would’ve been fine but he couldn’t wait to get away from Celtic

As much as I don’t understand why he left and the timing of it, I think his contribution can’t be dismissed. I would certainly welcome him back for a game, although I am pretty sure he would leave with two thirds of the game left.

I concur! Do you think time will heal wounds though?

I’m not quite at this grown up stage yet but I definitely feel less hostile towards him than I did a year ago. It’d be very interesting to see what stance the club take if we go on to secure ‘10’ and have some sort of legacy celebration.

Don’t get me wrong, I was fuming when it happened, but over the course of the last year I remembered where we were before he arrived. It was pretty turgid stuff. You could put that down to the opposition or multiple other things. As much as it hurts to say it he brought a spark back to the club. We were looking forward to games again. You could also argue that it had started to go back the other way at the end of his reign. Lenny is doing a great job and I again look forward to seeing the games. Thursday should be a belter.

Spot on Kev! I am absolutely loving the Lennon reign, think he’s matured into a boss that will go down as a Celtic great, beyond his exploits as a player.

The team just to keep focused now. I am sure they will be. Even though we have had setbacks this season we have so far come through it. I do worry when Scott Brown doesn’t play in the more challenging games, but CalMac did a good job on Sunday in what could have been a tricky game. If we can get positive results in the next two games I am sure we can kick on to get the 9.
