Corners are still a fundamental problem It almost seems inevitable at this point. For years, going back to Brendan Rodgers’ time as manager of Celtic, we have been absolutely dreadful at defending corners. Any teams attempting to scout us will look at that straight away as an area to punish, and so it proved tonight.…

Neil lennon is the manager so he takes the glory and the blame but keep in mind celtics defending in europe over the last 20 odd years has been kamikaze . We get away with it in Scotland because we have much better players than other teams. For the last 6 years at least I have been pontificating to my celtic friends that John Kennedy appears to be the problem. He has risen through the coaching ranks at celtic(peter must have screwed up his players insurance and offered him a job for life instead) and was given responsibility by Ronnie Dehlia to sort out the zonal marking experiment (remember the fiasco that turned out),he was part of Roger’s team but only as a junior and since lennon has returned he has ended up as number 2 (probably because of peter). I remember being told that it was Kennedys job to take defensive coaching but i would love to know what he writes on his lap top during games as his instructions over a long period of time are not getting through to the players. What we need is a top class coaching staff at celtic. The fans deserve no less.

I am at a loss as to how so may good players can underperform. Even Edouard couldn`t score the simplest of goals. Regarding corners remember Malmo?
