I suggested pressure yesterday when commenting on yesterday’s article but I am now so sure now. Dom was an outsider and that is pressure in itself but what he achieved during his 72 day tenure is remarkable.
I think that the statement gives us clues as it focuses on the acting CEO and how he is a ‘team player’. This was a swipe at Dom.
Also consider that the acting CEO is an insider and has been at the club since 2013. Add to that that Strachan is back in the building and that the hand of Lawell is clearly still at work and then we get a better picture.
