As the international break comes to a close, we take a look at the current state of play at Celtic Park heading into our next phase of games. The Hoops will take on seven different challenges before the team splits up for the October internationals. It’s fair to say we’ve had mixed luck so far…
As stated in this site before, I worry for Mikey, as he’s been plagued with injuries for some time now. Get him in the gym to muscle up and do some preventive maintenance instead of repair. Strachan & Kennedy should be all over this instead of leaving it all to Ange.
Although it doesn’t look as bad as first thought feared with Kuruhashi, I would still be inclined to leave him out for additional rest and play Georgis instead. The same with Forrest. Given it’s only Ross County, we should be able to leave him out and play Jota instead. These should be manageable and relatively low risk given the opposition. Although if their fit, but not fully, then maybe bring them on for the last 20-30 minutes. Same goes for all players returning from internationals, but would suspect CalMac to refuse the opinion of a rest and want to play the full 90, but Ange will ultimately make that call.
Overall, rest players where you can and gradually bring in players returning from injury and use your subs wisely. It is only Ross County and we should be seeing them off without too much of a struggle. We’ll also have our fair share of supporters there, so that’ll be a welcomed bonus.

KEEP THE FAITH:four_leaf_clover:
“It’s only Ross County” !! Where have we fallen into that trap before? They’ve done us over more times than I care to remember! So let’s not take anyone for granted. We’ve improved over last few weeks, but don’t forget we’ve been humped a few times already this season by “lesser opposition”
I suspected that would get a response when writing. However, by putting out the above mentioned players, we’re not exactly palming them off as nobody’s, but instead showing them ample respect. The only time teams like RC tend to beat us, is when we’re in disarray, which is the complete opposite of where we’re at currently, but stranger things have happened, so point taken.
I reckon Malky will do his best to get some points, but I’m more than positive that we’ll be bringing back the 3 points to Celtic Park, with an improved goal difference from when we started the day.
By all means show teams respect, but show your teammates and fans more respect and give 100%. If we get that throughout the season, there’s not a team in the league to stop the Ange juggernaught:hugs:
