He’s already been tested in the Europa League so I don’t see why he’s being considered a project by some?
He’s been brought in to compete for the LWB slot by Ange and competition for Taylor.

I’ve seen Scales play and believe me he’s no project player. I think personally that he’ll alternate with Taylor if not make the left back position his own. My mate’s a Shamrock Rovers man and he sends me some of their games and the boy is excellent. He’s not here to bulk out the squad he’s here to take a place in the team on merit. If he’s not a regular in our first team I’ll be gobsmacked.
