Will Celtic invest at left-back this January transfer window? Some would argue that it’s our weakest position in some sense. For whatever reason, Greg Taylor – despite consistent performances – just isn’t a fan favourite by any means. Meanwhile, back-up options like Adam Montgomery and Liam Scales have shown flashes of quality. In a January…
IMO Taylor gives you a decent 90mins when he does play. Yes, he has aspects to work on to make him a fan favourite, but he’s an honest enough player and is better than most other left backs in our division.
Don’t think big Scales has done to badly either when he has came in and Juranovic is also quality cover.
I agree, we have a few options at left back, not a bad stress for Ange to be dealing with
I’d keep going with scales but maybe get him doing a bit more defensively as he is lacking on that part of his game, going forward I’m happy with what he can contribute, he can cross better than Taylor and he gets into some decent areas on the pitch to be effective. Monty has a lot to learn, so a loan would be good for him
Think Taylor is underrated. They say Monty is being lined up for the future. The thing that bothers me big time is Ange refusing to play James McCarthy. Euan and everyone else who has a chance to talk to Ange have got to ask him. He is such a good player. What the hell is going on? Is Ange doing a Jack Charlton thing when he messed Liam Brady around ? Substituting him in one game and then never picking him again. Making an example of him to all the other players. Is Ange making an example of James in order to make the other players do as he says??.. Come on Euan and the others. Ask Ange publicly or ask Ange and tell us his answer. Don’t get me wrong on this, i am an Ange supporter but not playing McCarthy is annoying many supporters.
