Originally published at: The silence from Celtic since Dom McKay's departure as CEO is deafening
With issues on the park for Celtic, it’s almost as if there wasn’t a sudden, shocking drama unfolding at the heart of the club from the departure of CEO Dom McKay. Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has motored on, during a difficult spell of results for the Bhoys. And while, yes, the board has been met…
The celtic board are treating the fans the way an abusive partner treats the other half. They have no respect for the fans and until the fans put it up to the board we are just going round in circles. I fear this season is only going in one direction thats similar to last season so there is nothing to lose but our self respect. TIME FOR BOARD CHANGES they cannot operate without our money. They sold us season tickets under false terms (dom mc kay and change) and have set up AP under terms that have his hands tied that will eventually lead us back to dumb and dumber in charge of team affairs.
Mackay was only ever brought in to sell a new dream to the punters.
They got a mild mannered and clean cut guy in a smart suit who could probably sell sand to the Arabs to punt the Season Tickets whilst simultaneously putting out the many fires burning around the Board.
Tickets sold,Manager in and players on Board there wasn’t really much else he could do.
Adios and see you later Dom thanks for the memories here’s yer golden handshake/payoff.
Kerching.
Next… queue another Desmond place man.
Rinse and repeat.
There’s been no news from the McKay household which simply mean our intrepid Scottish news hounds just haven’t found anything of note. So one concludes “personal reasons” meant he was being stonewalled. He wasn’t allowed to do his job because the board and DD had too much control to lose. He, rightly, left. This is THE modern Celtic story. Almost no one leaves this club on a happy note, mainly because of the board. Strachan may be the exception as he reserved his ire for the fans. The board wouldn’t give O’Neil the funds for renewal, they didn’t support Deila or Rodgers who made it clear they needed better players. Will they support Ange? I mean really support him. I think they will offer the kind of support that suits their agenda - buy McCarthy and Scales for ulterior motives - but I doubt Ange will be allowed to refreshen from the Japanese or any other market in the way he wants. He’s already talking about bringing people in on time - just when have the board ever done that? This club is run on a purely financial basis by people who don’t respect the fans and no nothing about football. Never let them off the hook by blaming the manger for our failures.
Celtic fans should BOYCOTT going 2 games then c the circus unfold the only own side is dumb and DUMBER will b back in charge ANGE will b back in Melbourne 4 Xmas with his family
