The now-infamous Celtic Dubai trip in early January was officially sanctioned by the Scottish Government in November. The BBC have revealed, via a Freedom of Information request, the series of emails between the club and the Government. Originally, a trip was scheduled for Turkey, and the SFA and Celtic sought assurances from Scotland’s governors in…

It is a controversial story , and the how when who may never fully come out
I am a huge believer ,in being in charge of ones destiny , not using hindsight as an argument either way, the timing of events

My outlook
whether or not the SFA supported the trip
whether or not the government supported the trip
whether or not the players required a break

common sense / business sense any sense
you would as an organisation be aware of the lay of the land ,be aware of increasing the risk ,during travel, and the fluidity of the situation on a day to day basis

on the day of travel , someone , should have asked the question " is this the right thing to do TODAY"
we should not have went.

I`ve always felt the word “privileged” came into play here. How many people were able to indulge in winter sunshine?

Neil Lennon was right to say what he said regarding the Dubai trip . It is what it is and one thing about NL , what you see is what you get and he’s no hypocrite . What he’s had to deal with in his 20 yrs association with Celtic is something very few could handle . He’ll no doubt be moving on in the near future but he always gave his best for the club as player and manager . Let’s no try to tarnish his iconic status . HH

Hi Patrick, welcome to the forum. We agree, the nonsense he’s put up with over 20 years has been horrific, but for what it’s worth, I thought that press conference was a bit much. The situation needed some sensitivity.

Its good to see someone speak up for NL who obviously deserves to be called a Celtic icon. It makes a pleasant change.

Welcome! I think you’ll enjoy it.

I think Lennon will be thought of well but not for a few years.
