Wake up and smell the coffee

Those Celtic fans who are critical of what’s happening and where we are right now need to wake up and smell the coffee,
Did you honestly think that a new manager would come in and suddenly turn thing around within the first few games, if you did your living in a parallel world,
AP inherited a team devoid of confidence and not only that he also had to contend with players who wanted away asap, he also had to bring in a sleuth of new players and bed them in and get used to not only a new country but to get used to how AP wants them to play, and on top of all that they had to gel and bond with the existing players. we all need to be patient and I’m sure things will improve once our players who are out injured come back in. Hail ! Hail ! have faith.
As an add-on to this post.
It didn’t help AP that he was unable to bring in his own backroom staff, whether he was not allowed to do that or he decided against it, who knows?.
Would the results have been any different?, probably not but that’s a question for debate.

Agreed, some posters on here in absolute hysterics. A rebuild generally takes more than a couple of months.

Spot on, Patience is not a virtue with some fans unfortunately .

PATIENCE should never have come into it. When BR left the club we were in a far stronger position than when he came. We were financially in a different league to our rivals. We had a far stronger squad of players than our rivals. We are were we are today because of sheer utter incompetence from our board(conspiracy theorists might suggest internal sabotage to enable rangers to stay afloat thus ensuring better commercial deals for the club). AP appointment had turned into a fiasco and he was saddled with dumb and dumber who he probably did not want. What a difference 3 years make but PATIENCE should never have come I to the argument.

I’m not disagreeing with you but at the end of the day we need to give the new manager and the predominantly new team time to gel regardless of what’s gone before.
It’s a pointless exercise going over what’s gone before, we need to concentrate on the now and the future.

I agree with you AP deserves time but he should at least be given his own backroom staff. Without his own coaching team I fear the worst.

We need a defensive coach(es) in ASAP.

They may not have an instant impact but someone needs to teach the players to put a boot in at times and take a yellow card if need be.

It’s getting boring watching us concede soft soft goals which could be stopped 3 or 4 passes before they happen if someone just read the game better :four_leaf_clover:

If he was NOT able to bring in his OWN backroom staff he should NOT have taken the job … END OF STORY…

I think your on the IRISH MATE …

HH

Kennedy and Strachan R the problem get em oot asap or by Xmas we will b looking 4 a new manager

Maybe he thought the job was too good to turn down even without his own backroom staff.
I like his brand of football, It’s really exciting to watch, the quick one two passing, the high intensity play, i’ts very much in the BR style, when we have everyone back from injury I think this team will be very hard to stop.
PS Irish is not my tipple. :sunglasses:

I think the team that’s picked week in week out is very much AP’s, he may well listen to the input of Kennedy and Strachan but he very much makes his own mind up regarding who plays and the system the team plays.
He comes across as being mentally strong and very hard to dissuade once his mind is made up.
I hope the pair of them will be moved on before this season ends or even next season, we will just have to wait and see. :slightly_smiling_face:
