We are the champions my friend's. ( further update added )

We are the Champions my friend’s, we are the Champions, we are the Champions, we are the Champions my friend’s, We’ll keep on fighting till the end.
I know I’m getting carried away, but hey why not, considering last season we were woeful.
CCV’s new nickname " the Fridge", brilliant defence today with Starfelt, what a partnership.

When you look at the last two times we have played Ranger’s, both games are similar in the fact that we did the business in the first half and contained Rangers in the second half.

At Celtic Park, we went up 3.0 in the first-half and contained them in the second half comfortably.

At Ibrox we did the business in the first half and contained them comfortably in the second half.
End of story.

Before the match.
Former Rangers midfielder Derek McInnes is certain the Premiership champions will not lose to leaders Celtic in Sunday’s blockbuster Old Firm derby.

Oops, word eating time I think, LOL

Had to have a little chuckle as i watched spurs demolish Newcastle today.
Eddie Who Why or Howe certainly did us a big favour as there is no way he could have created a team like ours in such a short time or budget as our leader Ange has.
What a superb job he has done to give us our pride back and to show truly THE CITY IS OURS
and again Glasgow is green and white.

As much as it was a great day Ange won’t be letting the players get carried away. There would be no point winning Sunday to drop points or lose to St Johnstone as they need a win as much as us. I don’t think we’ll lose to St Jonhstone but as I say they’re battling relegation and we’ve lost games like this before. I remember when we got to the fifth or sixth title and started singing about ten in a row, I know it was mostly tongue in cheek at first, but we all started believing our own hype and thought all we had to do last season was turn up and the league would take care of itself and look where that got us. Until it’s mathematically impossible for kid on Rangers to catch us we shouldn’t take anything for granted. Last season was a harsh lesson in complacency and over-confidence and I don’t want to feel that again. I had a fabulous day on Sunday watching the game with my son and my granddaughter but nothing’s won till it’s actually won. I’m not trying to put a dampener on what was a fantastic day and we quite rightly should’ve celebrated but it’s the same three points for beating them as it is for beating St Johnstone, Hearts or Aberdeen. We need 13 points to be sure of the league but with the goal difference of 16, effectively, 12 points would win it too HH

You’re so right, the last thing we need is complacency at this stage of the season.
AP will absolutely not allow that to happen.
The difference from last season to this season is chalk & cheese.
Last season, we had players who were desperate to leave for pastures new.
We also had a manager with tunnel vision who constantly played players who were out of form, and players on the bench who could have made the difference, were totally ignored.
We also had players in the team who were just not good enough.
Luckily, those players have either moved on or have been shipped out.
This team is very different, you can see the hunger in this team for success, the mentality in this team is so very different to last season, and that’s all down to AP bringing in some brilliant players.
We also have players who are totally reinvigorated under AP such as Calmac, Rogic, Turnbull, Bitton, Ralston, Taylor, “et alia.”

Just out of interest, here’s a reminder of the teams from last season to this season.

Celtic team vs Rangers April 2021: Bain, Kenny, Laxalt, Ajer, Welsh, McGregor, Brown, Christie, Turnbull, Elyounoussi, Edouard.

Celtic team vs Rangers April 2022 : Hart, Taylor, Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, McGregor, Hatate, Rogic, Maeda, Giakoumakis, Jota.

As you can see, It’s almost a brand-new team under AP.

Complacency isn’t even in AP’s vocabulary, don’t worry about that. :four_leaf_clover: :green_heart:
