Former Scottish FA chief executive Gordon Smith is concerned that that half of the clubs in Scotland could go bust due to the ongoing public health crisis, speaking to The Scottish Sun. Football has been suspended in the country since mid-March and there is currently no firm timetable set for a return. It seems incredibly…

Clubs in Scotland don’t go bust, it’s only the holding Vehicle/Company, that goes bust. A new company is then formed and the club’s assets, including their “history”, are transferred to this new holding Vehicle/Company. Mr Smith being a true blue should know that.

John`s comment is interesting. How many Premier clubs will become newcos and where will the finance for the newcos come from? Will the newcos have to go to the bottom division and will there be enough clubs left to form two divisions?
Football is like business in general, more questions than answers.

If Sevco happen to go under again where is there finance going to come from what has happened to the sugar daddies who were meant to be putting £20m plus into them
