Former Celtic attacker Kris Commons is adamant that the season simply cannot be declared null and void without recognising the Bhoys’ achievements this term, writing in his Scottish Daily Mail column (17/03 print edition, page 83). The Scottish football shutdown has thrown governance of the game into a chaotic situation. With no guarantees football will…
I think you and Kris are spot on here. Whilst it is understandable that relegation candidates would go for null and void it borders on spite for ex Rangers players etc to queue up with their spurious arguments as to why we should pretend the last seven months or so didn`t happen.
Now we have Alan Hutton in The Scotsman (online} saying null and void because the records for last season would be “asterixed coronavirus”!
So what? It would be a matter of historical fact that the league ended after 30 matches and the title rightly awarded to Celtic, 13 points etc etc.
Doesn`t it show how bitter some are with regard to the Glasgow rivalry and 9/10 in a row?
