McGregor doesn’t operate as a defensive midfielder in the deeper role he operates as a deep lying playmaker.
It’s like comparing Gattuso to Pirlo or Busquets to Xavi.
Same area of the pitch two entirely different roles.
One is to protect the defence by intercepting or breaking up attacks the other to ,link up,create and launch attacks from deep.
Different role’s requiring different skill sets.

If you are going to put yourself up as a person knowledgeable in a specific area (be it football or otherwise) then perhaps it maybe best that you learn from any extra information you may come across
All I have done is put up some information via a post on an open forum so that anyone who was perhaps unaware of the difference between a defensive mid and a regista might actually learn something.
