This is perhaps debatable, but the most eye-catching Neil Lennon signing for Celtic last summer had to be Albian Ajeti for me. When the Swiss forward arrived from West Ham for a reported £5million fee (Sky Sports), it looked like a major statement from the club. Many fans may look back now and wonder why…

I’m not really judging any of the players this season until we get a new manager. Ajeti could thrive under a new boss, you never know.
If we get a new manager, do you think there will be a sort of “nobody leaves in January” policy?
Yes I would think so. That makes sense for the new guy to take a look at the squad. Get rid of the people he doesn’t want in the summer, if possible.

To be fair I don’t think a new manager will be appointed before the end of January. I expect this review thing, if it is to be the end of Lennon, won’t happen until extremely close to the end of the month. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us go through deadline day without a permanent manager in charge.

Ajeti is obviously in the bad books with the manager. Time will tell whether he can cut it at paradise. We should take the cash for Eddy and get a forward in that will compliment what we have. I’d suggest a mobile centre with a strong work ethic…
