lets hope that result is not an indication on how we will do in the champions league group this season or we will take another title of the huns as the worst team in champions league history.
Recruitment really worries me again as does the belief that this squad is anywhere near good enough to compete in Europe.
This is not a reaction to a friendly match where players are just returning and trying to get match fit i understand this but the goals we lost and way we were carved apart constantly so looked like the end of season games under Ange of Spurs.
we keep hearing bout buying wingers (more wingers/) which means Abada could be off soon.
but yet again without Johnston or CCV the defence was a shambles.
We need a goalkeeper, a centre back, and left back , forget this nonsense that Taylor is great he will be destroyed in Europe yet again or even worse imagine Ralston playing.
Kobayashi is not good enough and despite the centre back partnership doing well in Scotland we need another centre back desperately.
You could drive a bus through our midfield and a defencive midfielder is also a must buy who will dominate in front of our centre backs and another striker is required as a target man.
Apart from that everything was ok ha ha.
Sadly I agree with you. I am not keen on Rogers becsuse he left but because of the way he sets out teams.
In the 1st half today, Celtic win the ball onbthe halfway touchline. It took 17 Celtic passes, including 2 fromnour goslkeeper to get back to the starting position of the move. Not unexpectantly the players seemed in disarray i agree we need different players but feel comfortable that will come. I thought Scales did ok and I would like to see bosun Lawell get a run out
Yeah. I think we have to remember that pre-season games are going to be about getting fitness levels up and eliminating silly errors. To be fair to BR, our opponents are two thirds of the way through their season and we have injuries to two key defenders, so we were always going to be defensively fragile. BR is using these games to assess his squad before identifying his recruitment requirements. However, I’d be surprised if he isn’t already looking for a quality centre half, keeper and some quality midfielders as well as another striker. A lot of what happens depends on how well the players we have respond, improve and develop but it looks like a race against time to be ready for the CL…
