Can they or Can't they, that is the question?

Can Aberdeen beat us in the upcoming fixture.
I seriously believe they can, but in order for that to happen we have to be severely off our game.
We will have to be a lot better than we were against Ross County that’s for sure.
I watched the game, and to be honest, I was shocked at how poor we were, especially in the first half.
The second half was better, especially when the substitutions were made, up until that point we were average at best.
The fact it’s not being televised has really p****d me off, as it could prove to be a pivotal fixture this season.
There is still time for Sky Sports to rectify that and show the game, I hope they do, as it’s going to be a cracker.
I just rang Sky sports and the person I spoke to said that it would be very unusual for the schedule to be changed at this late date.
So do us all a favour and ring sky sports, and they might show it.

I think it’s a bit of a catch 22 for us, our next match versus Aberdeen.

I honestly feel we’ll have more than enough to win the match by at least 2 clear goals.

The trouble with that is that it could well knock the wind from Aberdeen’s sails and dent their confidence a bit.

I hope not because I love the fact that our most recent Glasgow rivals are firmly stuck in 3rd (where they rightfully should be). It’d be great if Aberdeen can go on and create a bigger gap between themselves and TRIFC 2012 as the season progresses.

I think you’re right Jeemo, we definitely have the quality and the firepower to win this game, providing everyone shows up.
We need a couple of early goals to put this game to bed.
As far as denting Aberdeens confidence, I don’t think losing to us will dent their confidence in the slightest, because they know that they can beat all the other clubs in the league.
If they do that, I think second place is definitely feasible, because I think sevco will drop points along the way.

Well Aberdeen came to us, stuck to a game plan and more over left with a valuable point.

At this stage in the season, I’d hope many wouldn’t be panicking too much though (as much as the media would love us to do!).

Looking over the game, we could have made it easy for ourselves if we’d of went in at the break 3-0 or 4-0 up (which we could have easily been). Aberdeen, to their credit, saw they had to change things up if they wanted something and made effective personnel switches. Their first goal was from them pulling our defenders forward and then catching us on the counter. For all Scales does for us with his very best efforts, he’s never going to get pace coached into his game. Valle was too far away to try and help, Aberdeen took their chance well. Aberdeen’s second was a deflection so that in its self tells you of the fortune they had.

All in though, we didn’t have enough to kill Aberdeen off and they done well to stand up to us. The result isn’t all that bad in that we are both in front of TRIFC 2012 leaving them to play catch up. I fully expect the Kilmarnock roll over (4-0 or 5-0 away win) tonight so McInnes has less to do when he takes over.

Game on for now. We need to keep our heads down and focus on winning as much as we can to maintain our spot at the top. I’d also hope our coaching staff have taken note on how we can be burned on the counter and work on that.

If Rodgers can’t handle a wee bit of pressure and find the game plan to suit us we might, one day, see him replaced by the likes of Thelin? A coach who analyses his upcoming opposition and trains his team with a strategy to take something from games

How many shots on goal do we need to actually score Jeemo, if i’m not wrong we had about 30 attempts on goal and scored two, not good enough.
The game should have been put to bed in the first half but the longer it stayed at 2.0 the more nervous I became.
It cheered me up though seeing sevco lose to Killie.
Going forward we have to be much more clinical in front of goal if we’re going to win the league again.
