Celtic manager Neil Lennon gave a very revealing press conference today. Dominated by Jeremie Frimpong discourse, the presser was typically fiery. When asked by The Cynic whether he understood why fans were calling for change, Lennon simply said “No” [Daily Record]. “We’ve won nine league titles in a row and four consecutive trebles which no…
‘Gutless’ just about sums up Celtic this season
I’ve got to believe that the board has not found any viable candidates. Nothing else explains it. This is going to be a rough ride for us.
Yeah I would think so…or they think Lennon has done a good job as this is just ‘one bad season’. Who knows!
The board like the fans have given up on this season. They will now try and get top dollar this week for players who intend to leave in summer. As for NL he is with us until MAY. You cant appoint new manager before a new CEO although I suspect they have a CEO lined up and possibly a manager as well. All will become clearer at SB renewal time.
.
Our ancestors are turning in their graves this season . A total disgrace both on and off the park
Could it be a possibility that the candidate/s has/have been identified and there is an agreement in the summer due to season end or Euros? For example Martinez/Maloney with the Belgium squad.
I think the board had agreed with Lenny to stay and secure ten, then leave. There is no other reason why he is still here. Lenny is a club legend (always will be) but on performances alone he should been gone a long time ago.
I tend to think the board will do nothing about a replacement until NL has actually gone. which after all is only right and proper. Regarding the “review” will it actually be made public and does anyone actually believe PL`s future is in doubt? How long before we get something positive?
I think the review has to be made public, just to placate the fans
I have no words for Lennon, Liewell or Desmond.
I’ve no expectations anymore.
We have turned into Sevco!
It’s such a spectacular fall … all started by Lennon’s appointment.
Never liked him as a man or a manager! Horrible gimp!
I actually despise him as much as Duffy!
@Niallp77 now that the 10 is gone, why not give a new manager some time to work with the tam and review players? I guess I could see the board not dropping him until the 10 is mathematically impossible.

All parties involved , may be nice guys, may have delivered success through the years, might even have our beloved club at their hearts… And I can not show contempt for these men.
What baffles me ,is the business side of our club, the failure to build ,the failure to create a legacy…the opportunities were there for all to see.
A crime was committed by all mostly PL and DD , in that the had no vision ,no plan for success, we see this in our transfer activities over the past 4/5 years… become a feeder club .to the premiership …a decision most definitely considered agreed and put into plan
Business should be competed swiftly and effectively to ensure that the Whole is not impacted , Like a surgeon removing a wilted gangrenous limb ,to save the individual … Lennon is that limb DD & PL are the surgeons , hoping that a plaster will make things better. and all the while the Club suffers
Chelsea showed how business should be done, Frank bigger legend , better results (this year) than Neil … did they dawdle , No , sacked and manager in place immediately… Big Roman knows business
Keep the faith

It makes perfect sense, wouldn’t it be great for Celtic to be (for once) actually prepared going into the Champs League qualifiers. It makes me think that the board either haven’t selected an appropriate replacement or are waiting for that replacement due contractual obligations. I’m looking at Steve Clarke or Martinez/Maloney both have the Euros and won’t be leaving until after the competition (if at all). Who knows though!
