The problem for us is that he’s erratic. Decent squad guy…… that’s about it…:four_leaf_clover:

If he was to deployed in his natural position as a defensive mid in front of the back 4 we would get the best out of him.
This could actually be a solution to our defensive issues as we would effectively be fielding an extra CB when put under pressure.
He’s always had the ability to pick a pass and tackle it’s just as a CB when you are the last line of defence any errors are magnified as it tends to lead to conceding a set piece in a dangerous area or a goal.
By the way you should go back and check the stats when he and Ajer were regularly put in the defence as a central pairing their record wasn’t actually that bad.
Bitton is a better footballer than most seem to give him credit for.
His downside is allowing himself to get involved with the nonsense and making rash decisions.
If he can cut that out he’s more than capable of doing a solid job for Celtic under Postecoglou.
