Celtic failing to show any crisis management improvement after UCL exit

The Celtic response to Wednesday night’s UCL exit at the hands of Midtjylland has been both predictable and disappointing. Last season, the Hoops support was used to being ignored by the club after bad results. It led to full-blown empathy amongst large sections of the Hoops faithful too. There was ignorance, arrogance, and dismissive tendencies…

Recruitment has been so bad for a few seasons. the back 5 in the past two matches are probably the weakest iv seen at Celtic Barkas/bain Ralston Murray Welsh Taylor.
We have let go a stronger 5 in Gordon Hendry jozo Shevch Hayes for near free.
we talk bout the need for experience ?

With respect, we didn’t want these guys when they were here. We were desperate to replace them. Now you pine for them. We all expected better than we got, let’s focus on that and why we didn’t get it.

Most fans hoped the fans groups forum was a sign of real change. Personally I didn’t as I noticed that there were no really difficult questions asked and most questions even if not that difficult were answered very diplomatically. Nothing much appears to have changed. Who is picking the players and on what basis? If we are looking at Joe Hart then it is not Ange who is doing the choosing as Joe wouldn’t fit into Ange’s system - he is not good with his feet.

Why we didnt get it YOU Are BOB ON none of us can ever understand why Celtic are so slow? I believe its becauae we actively wait to see whos left. Lets face it Scottish Football is not the biggest draw. Yes Join Celtic and win domestic trophies :trophy: but money and wages are way below for example Burnley or Southampton. I personally would like all Scottish players in the SPL with perhaps only 2 exceptions. The Scandinavian leagues have over performed for many years in Europe without BIG name signings. (Rosenberg etc)

The facts are we have been downsizing since the summer of Rogers talking to McGinn and selling dembele on Transfer deadline day. The same thing can happen with Eddie even though he clearly is not trying in games. The tell take sign is the ajer/ starfelt … We waited to sign him after ajer let, why? Why not sign him before losing ajer, why not sign a number 9 before selling Eddie, why not recruit in Scotland so that there is no isolation requirements… you may say the players are not good enough but I am not so sure they are worse than what is there… Doig, Nisbet, McCann, even Declan Gallagher all could have been brought in middle of June… the back room team have also been allowed to be depleted unchallenged. This is taken a while to have affect but last season you could really see it glaringly in your face, player psychology, player fitness, longer term recruitment, selling off of the youth team. In the 41 years as a Celtic supporter I feel we are sleep walking back into the 90’s I just hope it we do the music is as good as it was.

i agree they were all not good enough for us and don’t want them back. i am stating that they are miles ahead of what we put out in the past two matches and are al better squad players than any of the current starters in this side .

Fans forum if you remember it was some of the fans forum and bloggers that were claiming last season was our greatest ever singing window and were praising the board for signing Barkas LaxLet Duffy and Anjeti and look how good they turned out to be.

I agree with mickfromhucknall, why not use the talent that’s in Scotland they would certainly play for the jersey and it would rub off on the national team they also wouldn’t be chomping at the bit to go down south just look at Tierney he didn’t want to leave celtic but the board wanted the money.

There are a few players in Scotland we could have signed but let then slip last season.
Goodwin tells us McGrath could play for Celtic and some fans laughed bout it and say we have Sorro we don’t need him well i agree McGrath would be a far better player than Sorro and doubt he will get near Anje team by Christmas and be another signing like Bayo or Shevd.
Hickey and Nisbet played at youth level for Celtic and are both better than Taylor and Anjeti a combined waste of 7 million.lets make it 10 when you add Bolingboli
