So it looks as though the old guard of honour topic is back on the agenda this year, but not in the way Celtic would’ve liked. Yes, the Hoops are unfortunately only several games away from conceding the title. It’s been the most embarrassing pursuit of the 10 imaginable, and fans have grown distant from…

Totally agree…I’m more interested in beating them at paradise and stopping their invisible league performance. We are at a very low ebb but if we don’t beat them it looks as if nobody will.

Im not so sure. Lennons comment about the other way round may well, as you suggest, come back to haunt him. I would say its the least of our worries at the present time.

@Jupiterjohnski Fello Celt, you’re looking forward to beating a team that is competing with the best of what the UEFA League has to offer, two seasons in a row? You think we’re going to beat ‘The Gavan Globetrotters’? We can’t even beat Ross County

I personally believe that’s to totally ignore the context of Lennon’s comments at the time compared to the current situation. If we provided them with a guard of honour after they snubbed us, I would be furious with it.

No salute and hoping rather than necessarily expecting to beat Rangers. Annoying thing is they are decent rather than exceptional. We didn’t even need to be that special to have taken the 10…:rage:

ALERT, fello Celt, we’re nothing special at all, we are an insult to the word ‘Special’, we are absolute dog meat and we still couldn’t beat bottom of the league Ross County, nevermind win the 10.

David, thats fair enough however I`m more concerned about the possibility of them clinching the title at Celtic Park. I can remember a few years ago they clinched the title against us then proceeded to take the p by forming a huddle.

Agree with that. Ideally we win the two games beforehand and are able to dismiss any talk of a guard of honour. Then beat them at Parkhead to, at the very least, salvage a touch of pride and ensure it’s not won at our own stadium.

This team has no professional pride, they’ve proved that this season, they’ve chucked it this year and I’ll say it AGAIN, if we cannot muster the strength, the will, the professional PRIDE to beat bottom of the league Ross County, what hope is there of beating a team that’s well-coached and punching well above their weight (for the last two years) in the Europa League
