Chris Sutton has pulled up the Celtic centre-backs for their early struggles to the season, but hopes the return of Christopher Jullien will ease any issues. Celtic have been in scintillating form going forward this season. However, defensively, there have been too many cheap goals conceded. Whilst new signing Cameron Carter-Vickers looks an improvement whilst…
Scales scales scales why buy players and not play them Scales is match fit havjng pre season and euro qualifiers behind him.hes 24 and to the best of my knowledge fit and ready to play ?? How many players in the past have signed for Celtic and not played? ALLAN of hibs quote the best finisher at the club Im sure you will all know some more burning money and wasting good players
The one constant in our defensive issues has been Kennedy.
For what ever reason this seems to be getting overlooked by Celtic ?
He’s the defensive coach and has been under 3 Managers who all suffered from defensive frailties especially from set pieces.
At some point someone is going to wake up and realise he’s simply not good enough for this level.
Get Mjalby or someone of that ilk back and get the defence solid again and then we can really do some damage as a team on the front foot.
These errors are costing us too many points in too many games.
Perhaps whilst they are at it they can also explain the role of Strachan Jnr other than making memes for Celtic Social Media on his laptop.
I could imagine this guy Scales being bargain of the season tbh can play CB or LCB big Jullien is about 6 ft 6 but gets bullied by smaller players HH.
I agree with CyanOBacteria about Kennedy the message boy 4 the board get him out the asap along with laptop Strachan
Totally agree and said as much on here. We need a defensive co-ordinator type who is solely focused on implementing the defensive tactics required to support Ange footballing strategy. It’s not rocket science.
I agree, nothing will change until we get a proper defensive coach!!
That’s why the Rankers won last season good solid defensive unit and hit on the counter HH.
Totally agree they achieved both at home and in Europe with a solid defence to work from.
We have sorely missed Jullien this Season and our Keeper situation hardly helped though it looks like that has been resolved at least with Hart.
