Chris Sutton has urged Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou to bring in his own staff and not to rely on John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan. Postecoglou has already stated that he’ll take his time to assess things at Lennoxtown before making any quick decisions. As of yet, there’s no sign that the new man is on…

Coach ANGIE P. I’m surprised he hasn’t brought in his own men them 2 Kennedy and Strachan they have 2 go if he doesn’t well celtic will struggle again

And what are big John and Sutton’s badges for? Except winding people up and not saying anything? Are they what we need I would say yes compared to anyone else never mentioned. And Ange’s number two is with a new club now? If any good ex-football player or coach is interested don’t call Celtic, they won’t listen.

I don’t think there would be anything wrong with Kennedy staying. He is clearly a very popular figure among the players with ex players like Tierney coming out in support of him. It seems like Ange is looking for an assistant who can follow orders and help him get the players on side and I think Kennedy will be hungry to learn from another top coach before he makes the step into being a head coach. If we had brought in a manager who was less of a coach and more of a big footballing name then I would want a top coach in as an assistant (think about our rivals; Gerrard is just a big name, Michael Beale is their coach). We have potentially one of the top coaches in world football as our manager, so if he wants to keep Kennedy on we should all back him in that decision.

We keep on hearing that Kennedy is well regarded by his peers but he is still hanging around Celtic Park. If JK was as good as people say he is premiership clubs would be quequing up for him.!! In order for us to move on as a club Kennedy has to be let go.

Kennedy rejected an offer from Hibs to be their manager at the end of 2019.

Well if that’s who we are competing against for staff we are well and truelly f£#%ked.

Eh? We’re not competing with Hibs for staff, what a silly comment. Hibs are a Premiership side who wanted Kennedy to be their manager. Now he’s had one bad season at Celtic I would imagine he will put 110% in to backing Ange if he’s given the chance.

ONE BAD SEASON lol. When i said Premiership I meant English premiership. Silly comment or not I have followed Celtic for 50 years and you appear to be either young and naive or just …

We have potentially one of the top coaches in world football as our manager :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Why you laughing at that? Why so eager to write him off without giving him a chance?
Ffs :man_facepalming:t3:

Neither young, nor naive. If you meant England then you should’ve said Premier League not Premiership; and its native to think that EPL teams would be queuing up to sign an assistant coach from a Premiership side as their manager. When has that ever happened in your 50 years of watching Celtic?:rofl:

Potentially.
Could also potentially all go wrong and prove that the best coaches from the eastern hemisphere can’t cut it in Europe.
I know which outcome I’ll be supporting. :green_heart:

Grumpy Tim I will echo what John stated above …

‘Chris Sutton has urged Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou to bring in his own staff and not to rely on John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan.

Postecoglou has already stated that he’ll take his time to assess things at Lennoxtown before making any quick decisions. As of yet, there’s no sign that the new man is on the verge of bringing in any fresh faces into the coaching set-up.

That’s a massive concern for Celtic supporters, who don’t feel they can trust the abilities of assistant Kennedy and first-team coach Strachan’

If you want another ‘YES!!!’ man at the HELM not for me m8!!!

HH

As for parties ‘Life and soul m8!!’:rofl::rofl::+1::+1:

Some mixed comments and views here and some love for Rodgers the phoney thrown in too.
Kennedy and Strachan must go along with all the duds on the park who failed to deliver performances last season. how can a team who the French champions failed to beat twice last season could not beat rangers is beyond belief i hope Ange shows them all the door when he’s found his feet at the club as they would all be happy to blame him for everything that goes wrong
we need to be better than rangers to win the league and im sure with new players who will work hard that will happen.
i don’t care what league the new manager comes from as long as he gets us playing attacking football and that our players will play for the jersey and give 100 %.

Unlike most of last season, when the ball hits our net first. And the new captain said it’s “like here we go again” yes CalMac. He plays his heart out for Celtic they say? minute after minute I agree with that ish. Playing all those games for Celtic. But what about that saying? That’s what grips my Rafael from last season, Callum saying that.
