Ajer was a bombscare at the back for us.
For such a tall guy he rarely won balls in the air at set pieces at either end of the park.
While we certainly haven’t upgraded with Starfelt, we haven’t downgraded either.
Both players are suspect defenders.
We stole a few million extra when we sold Ajer.

Maybe that’s why he kept ducking to let it go past! :man_shrugging:t3:

Glad he’s doing well at Brentford but you’re right, he wasn’t good in the air. There’s a reason we shipped so many goals from set pieces last year. On the Norway manager, he must see the merit in the Scottish league and Celtic. We developed Ajer into probably their best defence and Elyounoussi’s career and performances took an upturn thanks to his couple of seasons with us.
