We know Kieran Tierney now as a former Celtic fan favourite, Arsenal’s best player, and a Scotland stalwart. KT was once again instrumental in another international spell for Scotland. Playing at centre-back against Denmark, the one-time Celtic captain made a whopping 8 ball recoveries and won 2 duels [Fotmob]. It wasn’t always that way, though.…
I went and watched a Development game at Goodson Park a few months before KT made his breakthrough into the first team ,he came on as a sub in the second half up against a decent Everton outfit.
It was clearly obvious that he was a cut above those on the pitch with him and there were a few Celtic and Everton players who had seen first team action that night.
He was physically solid at a young age and very composed in possession.
The game ended a draw but Celtic more than held their own against a decent side that night.
