Has to be said I was gutted to learn he was keen to leave. He was still young and had only just last season broke into the 1st team. I honestly thought we’d have him for at least a further 2/3 seasons. I truly believe this is down to the management team and how badly the season has gone. I couldn’t see such a young player, who’s recently broke through, pushing for a move in January if it was Brendan Rodgers or a manager of real quality in charge. Has lethal potential and he saw a move to (most likely) Bayer Leverkusen reserve set up, as a step up for his progression rather than stay in our 1st team. For me this once again tells the story of how poor our management team has been.
