In my opinion he is our new no 1 striker

Daizen Maeda is a revelation as far as I’m concerned.
He scares the S**t out of player’s with his speed down the wing, and now he is doing it up front as a striker.
And now he has been reinstated into the Champions League team he can do the same to Bayern Munich, hopefully?
In all honesty, we already have three strikers, Idah and Maeda with Kenny as a back-up.
Now that Jota is back, he can take the place of Maeda on the wing.
People say we are weaker now that Kyogo has gone, but I don’t think that’s the case, because this season Kyogo was far less prolific in front of goal.
Maeda has speed and has now discovered the missing piece of his jigsaw, the end result, and is now scoring goals after his lung busting runs.
Now he has that in his arsenal, he is the perfect striker.
Now we have Jota and Schlupp I think we are stronger, not weaker.
It’s only my opinion, I’m sure many will disagree. :four_leaf_clover:

Well done Celtic but that defence is still damage control I’ve said it many times Kennedy has to go was never a good defender not sure what he does on the training ground.

I think you’re being a wee bit harsh, S50G.
When you compare previous seasons in the Champions League to this season, It’s blindingly obvious that we have come a long way, we can now compete on the big stage, whereas before a drubbing would have been the outcome.
And don’t forget, we just played possibly one of the top sides in world football, and we came away with a narrow defeat.
And on top of all that, I think we were robbed.
We had a goal chalked off as being offside, when it should have stood, and a penalty that should have been given but wasn’t.
Terrible refereeing in my opinion.
Had those two gone our way it would have been a very different outcome.

On the Munich game I thought the first 70 mins, we showed them a bit too much respect.

Munich are a class side, no doubt, and the ball was pretty much sticking to their players’ feet when in possession. I think Rodgers ordered our guys to stay on their feet at all times which made it hard for us to try and snatch possession at times.

I know it would be naive to go at a team like Bayern but I think we’ve not got much to lose?

With regards to the refereeing decisions, I saw that as a taste of our own medicine in that the officials held Bayern in much higher regard than us (a dominant domestic force) and let them away with issues which could have had the game ending with a different score.
