It’s still very early in the Celtic career of Greg Taylor, but many members of the Hoops support may be starting to have some doubts over his hopes for the future. The defender has been a prominent player so far this year, featuring in ten of our 14 matches in 2020. The Scotland international clearly…
Can’t believe the stick that young Greg is getting. He is not Tierney!!! But he is streets ahead of Boli and Hayes, 2 guys who apparently get better each week by not playing. As for Forrest! Why is he exempt from criticism? He has been missing since around November. I know what he is going to do when he gets the ball, run across the 18 yard line, then pass the buck and go back into hiding, so the opposition know too. No MJ, to push for his place, we must see Shved now. We cannot carry Forrest any longer. We are starting every game with 10 men. Forster caught out again, he makes great saves from shots from distance, but a good keeper owns his penalty area.
Like everybody who joins Celtic, Greg is on a development path. We are changing systems so there is lots to learn. We seem to specialise in defensive players who are great going forward but can’t defend, Greg is different. He is also a hard worker he will come good! As for Forrest he is struggling to cope at the moment, but on his day he is a game changer.
Yeah, the left-back debate seems to be really polarising among our support.
Some guys rate Boli, other Taylor. Some think both are crap.
I prefer Taylor defensively but just think he lacks a burst of pace or trickery going forward. But he’s young and definitely has time to work on it.
Just don’t know how forgiving the fans will be.
That’s a pretty fair point about Taylor. At least he has the defensive ability. Hopefully he can just work on going forward because a full-back at Celtic is effectively an attacker.
Even more so if he’s playing wing-back.
