A win is a win but Killie made it difficult for Celtic yesterday. What happened to Arne Engels? Wasn’t his day!
To be honest mate, I don’t think any of our midfielders could settle into their game.
I thought Hatate was a passenger and even McGregor struggled to influence the game as he usually does.
Like you said though, a win is a win and I think a lot of that was due to how alert Schmeichel was
Schmeichel was excellent and you’ve got to hand it to Killie for pushing them the whole way
Killie dug in and gave us as much as they could, but we had a bit of luck on our side as well as putting the ball in the net.
All teams at their home grounds should be tough to beat. Kilmarnock have long been a thorn in our side at Rugby park but the current surface suits them more than any other team who plays there for matches.
Celtic have been blowing clubs away on their own patch and at Parkhead. So to crawl over the line at Killie was important.
Champions win when they’re not at their best, as they say.
