So, Kristoffer Ajer isn’t every Celtic fan’s favourite. He’s popular, generally speaking. But there are plenty who have watched his inability to defend corners and sighed. Or, when the Bhoys have been caught out on the counter-attack. Putting it in simple terms, Ajer featured most often in a defence that just wasn’t particularly good throughout…
I would not be against us holding onto Ajer if Eddie can come in and bring him down from what planet he actually thinks he’s on.
Solid SPFL player for us, needs a bit of experience beside him for big matches though.
Showed a disappointing lack of interest at times last season so with fans back next season, if he hangs on, let’s hope he pulls his finger out and fights for the cause
Euan where did Christie say he wanted out? And why did Ajer change his manager? The latter was to get the hell out of this team and play where he’s meant to play, midfield. He could never be a central defender, you have to know for the full game where to be, not just a bit of the full game. And getting told where to be by a defender, and that defender knowing you’re not around makes him panic. And makes the defender look stupid, is not what any central defender wants or needs. Doing the job of a central defender is hard, but doing the job of two men is impossible. As I have said many times b4.
