The question is, can we beat Aberdeen and progress to the final?
The answer is, absolutely we can, but we will have to come out with all guns blazing and have a really strong defence.
My only concern is Kyogo, he doesn’t appear to be firing on all cylinders at the moment, which is a worry.
Perhaps we should start Idah up front for this one, as Aberdeen are a strong physical team, perhaps more suited to Idah than Kyogo.
My team selection would be as follows.
In goal Schmeichel.
The back four has to be CCV, Taylor, Johnstone, Scales.
Midfield Mcgregor, Engels, McCowan,
Out on the wings it’s a no-brainer, got to be Kuhn and Maeda.
Up front Idah, providing he’s fit enough to start that is?
That would be my line-up for this game.
Probably not everyone’s choice, but It’s mine.
I agree with your point about Kyogo, he’s not as sharp as he has been. Idah, if fully fit, will give us a presence up top and Kyogo coming on for the last 25-30 mins might be the best way to outfox Aberdeen?
The team I would like to see would be:
Schmeichel
Johnston
Valle
Carter Vickers
Trusty
Hatate
Engels
McCowan
Maeda
Kuhn
Idah
I went for Hatate in midfield as we don’t know how fit McGregor is? If he doesn’t start, I’d say McGregor will definitely play a big part in the second half.
I agree with most of your team selection but for a couple of players.
I think Mcgregor will start.
Trusty or Scales? That is a hard one.
I would be happy with either, to be honest.
Valle or Taylor, I would pick Taylor for this particular game as he has shown time and again he can step up to the plate when required, granted he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I personally rate him.
