Ryan Christie has decided that a move to Bournemouth was right for him instead of staying at Celtic. The move was announced by both clubs this evening as the Hoops lost one of their key players on deadline day. It didn’t come as a major surprise to the Celtic supporters. Christie was into the final…
Clearly helping himself to a nice juicy wedge of Bournemouth’s parachute money.
I think he’d made his mind up last year that he wanted out, it can be hard to reverse that sort of energy once your heads in that space & if that’s the case then best for him & the club to move on.
Maybe Bournemouth will go up & he can be a big part of it, maybe that’s in his thinking, maybe he’s hoping to attract the attention of a bigger club in the EPL, who knows. On a good day he’s a match winner, on a bad day he’s one of the most frustrating players to watch, seems to be no in between.
I think his energy will be missed but the ball boys will be thankful for a bit less chasing.
Best of luck to him, I hope he tears it up for the Cherries
I don’t think that Celtic fans will share your comment that Christie will be welcome back to Celtic Park!
A really desperate move. He is not a consistent player I fear he will be playing for the likes of Crewe or Forest Green in the future. Silly boy!
What I would like to ask ALL you bhoys is this … if Christie is MR inconsistent then what about Rogic …
HH
Might be he’s smart and giving himself a gentle introduction to the English game.
Or he’s sh** the nest and didn’t have the guts to go to the physical Burley and play against the big boys.
On his day a decent player…. Off his day the crowd need to be on their guard for misfired shots…
Rogic seemed to be inconsistent under bad management, Chistie is inconsistent under everyone!
